A progressive instruction course is an invitation for students of all levels from all styles of yoga to explore Patanjalis Ashtanga yoga (eight limbed practice) in its entirety and experience its infinite possibilities through the powerful and transformative Dynamic Yoga Training Method.

Each dynamic yoga course is organised in an unhurried, progressive, practical and systematic format.

The student is introduced to specific techniques and principles fundamental to the safe and effective practice of yoga.

Through precise, articulate and continuously evolving instruction and content, the student is guided toward a gradual yet deep assimilation and organic embodiment of the principles and techniques involved.

Through a profound process of unwinding, awakening and integration the rich and bountiful fruits of yoga can be quickly experienced on and off the mat.

The courses are divided into 6 levels and each course follows fluidly on from the previous one. Each course must be taken sequentially without exception to yoga experience or years of practice or teaching.

The first 3 courses make up the Dynamic Yoga Foundation course
The following 3 courses the Dynamic Yoga Intermediate course.

THE FOUNDATION

1 ::: PRINCIPLES AND TECHNIQUES
 Through simple uncomplicated postures the student is introduced to the 5 techniques of asana (posture), pranayama (free breathing) vinyasa (breath linked movement) bandha (structural and energetic integration) and drushti (awareness)

A deep sensitisation to the 10 major joints of the body and a strengthening and recalibrating of the major muscles groups is begun using the highly effective and simple principles of the dynamic yoga method.

This course is physiologically the most challenging yet physically the least challenging; hence it is the only course of 4-week duration with 8 x 2hrs of Instruction.

2 ::: THE SPIRALLIC DYNAMIC.
It’s all about the spirals! This course Re-clarifies the impacts and more subtle implications of the spiral dynamic techniques introduced in level one.

By repetition and consistent inquiry we begin to move towards a deeper intuitive assimilation and embodiment of alignment principles.

The course also introduces 3 pranayama techniques and a variety of postures in increasingly challenging sequences designed to challenge and dissolve our limitations.
 Patanjali’s first limb of yoga, yama, forms the fertilising context for the students approach to the practice, each class taking one of its five principles as a subtle key to unlocking the fruits of the techniques been assimilated.

3 ::: DYNAMIC INTEGRATION
Bandhas!  A more physically challenging course within which mulha, uddyana, meru, hasta and padha bandhas are explored and re-clarified. The subtle yet powerful implications of the bandhas in the whole body are explored in dynamic practice and bandha based pranayama exercises.
Patanjalis second limb of yoga, niyama is introduced providing a rich context of orientation. Each class concludes with guided meditation to deepen our experience of the subtleties of yoga practice.

6 X 2hrs of Instruction (3 WEEKS)

THE INTERMEDIATE COURSE (4/5/6)

4 ::: FORMS
Concentrating on form within a challenging physical practice this course serves to clarify and deepen the embodiment of sarvanghabandha (whole body energetic) and the spiral dynamic. Three complete and balanced practice sequences and three bandha based pranayama techniques begin to lead the students towards an independent and fulfilling practice.

66 X 2hrs of Instruction (3 WEEKS)

5 ::: ELEMENTAL PRACTICE
This course is all about practice! Students often experience it as the course that gives the self-confidence and inspiration to roll out the mat and establish a creative self-practice.
 Informative and yet deeply practical, this course introduces 3 dynamic vinyasa flow practice series designed to challenge our limitations, while still nurturing a deeply meditative practice. We are encouraged to explore the subtleties of yoga practice within the illuminating and deeply harmonising context of the 5 elements and given valuable pointers to apply in a home practice based on nourishing and re-establishing the integrity and unity of body, mind and spirit.

6 X 2hrs of Instruction (3 WEEKS)

6 ::: GOING DEEPER, BECOMING FREE
A course of six practice led classes exploring diverse sequencing that lead the student onwards and inwards in their exploration of yoga, pranayama and meditation.
This course provides the student with a wide repertoire of vinyasa; standing posture, back bends, forward bends, balancing and inversions to be   incorporated into an innovative challenging and continuously evolving self-practice.

6 X 2HRS INSTRUCTION (3 WEEKS)

Students and teachers of all levels and all yoga styles can benefit greatly from the dynamic yoga courses. Repetition of any of the courses is highly beneficial to students of all levels, as it is in the process of refinement and clarification of the basics that the deep yet subtle fruits of yoga are so often revealed.
