These classes balance, nourish and restore, they focus on free respiration, and developing sensitivity (ahimsa) and softness while moving through variable soft ullola (short sequences of breath led movement). Dynamic Yoga Gently classes include supported posture work (with bolsters and cushions) to encourage deep relaxation and often conclude with sitting.
Open to all levels of student and fitness
These classes focus on developing sensitivity, attentiveness, structural integrity and rhythm. Each class involves variable dynamic vinyasa (breath led movement) to warm, soften and awaken the body, standing postures to strengthen, train and re-calibrate, floor postures to mobilise and concludes with relaxation.
Open to all levels of student, with modified or deepening postures according to individual.
These classes focus more deeply on structural integrity and valuable alignment principles. Each class involves challenging dynamic vinyasa, to warm, soften and build stamina, standing postures to strengthen, floor postures, inversions and concludes with relaxation.
Open to students who have a general level of fitness and have attended Dynamic yoga gently or Dynamic vinyasa flow one regularly for at least 6 weeks
The bandhas (energetic integration) and the refining of alignment form the basis of these classes. Each class uses varied dynamic sequences, evolving from the spontaneous flow of Chandra namaskar and surya namaskar to open, balance, strengthen and release.
Any given class can include balancings, inversions, pranayama, meditation and dialogue.
Deepening postures are given according to the individual.
Students need to be familiar with the vinyasasuxama core series, the 7 principles of Hatha yoga practice and have completed the progressive instruction course (phase 1)
Pranayama is the art of free and conscious breathing
A guided class of bandha (energetic integration) based pranayama practices intended to release tension in the respiratory muscles and free the breath from habit and imposition. The pranayama practice leads into a guided meditation which is followed by silent sitting.
Open to students who have attended Dynamic vinyasa flow 2 regularly for at least 6 weeks.
Each term we explore a different theme i.e countries, animals, the seasons. In each class the theme is explored through a story. Teacher and children embark on an adventure together through yoga postures, singing, expressive dance, confidence building exercises and finally relaxation.
